Plumbers working

Fears that the next generation of apprentice plumbers and electricians will never get the training and qualifications they need are rapidly turning into reality according to one of the country’s leading maintenance companies for renewable energy.

With the lack of suitable tutors able to teach to NVQ Level 3, colleges closing down at an unprecedented rate and a significant reduction in the number of available courses, we are now say the company, seriously failing our young people.

Taking stock of your business

Taking stock of your business

Theresa May advised UK firms to stockpile essential goods in preparation for a no deal exit from the European Union back in August. A few months on, businesses are questioning what their future looks like after 29th March.

Despite being told that stockpiling ahead of Brexit is a ‘sensible’ idea by the prime minister, retailers and stockists have received no real guidance from the government in regards to what, and how, they should be stockpiling. Lack of clarity when it comes to who is expected to do what in the event of a no-deal Brexit, has left businesses having to prepare for any eventuality. And with the uncertainty of a post- Brexit Britain, many companies are making the decision to store a surplus of vital products.

Intergas says the slogan ‘We keep you warm’ is more than a reiteration of these features, it’s an encapsulation of the company ethos of affordable heating that’s available to everyone.

The measures that housebuilders can take to save water are twofold: use alternative sources of water and introduce water-efficient devices within the home.

Firstly, there is rainwater harvesting in the form of water butts and below-ground storage tanks. These provide an alternative water source to mains water. Recycled rainwater can have numerous uses around the home, such as flushing toilets, use in washing machines or simply watering the garden. By incorporating some treatment into the rainwater harvesting and recycling system, it can be used for a range of clean water activities as well.
