Ideal for plumbers and heating engineers, the ETI Differential thermometer allows the user to operate two type K thermocouple probes simultaneously.  The display can be switched to show probe T1 or T2 temperature, or the difference between probes T1 and T2 (T1-T2).  The units’ two thermocouple inputs make this thermometer ideal for HVAC applications including flow and return temperature measurements, and radiator output checks.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) consultation titled ‘Heat in Buildings: The Future of Heat – Domestic Buildings’, ends on January 27 and is seeking views on a range of measures that aim to keep energy bills as low as possible and reduce carbon emissions.

The perfect way to spend a cold, winter’s day is snuggled up under a duvet on the sofa watching TV, according to research by leading home assistance provider HomeServe.

The survey which set out to find the perfect winter’s day and the definition of modern winter home comforts, found that 42 per cent of Brits like nothing more than spending a day on the couch as the mercury drops.

Almost one in five said hearty meals and home cooked food were the key to a perfect winter’s day while six per cent admitted they loved nothing more than retreating to the comfort of their own bed.

The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (Training) Ltd., has 100 training rewards worth £150 each to give away to plumbing and heating companies.

The registered educational charity and sister company to the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC), says its aim is to help safeguard the long term professional development of the industry by incentivising plumbing and heating engineers to update and expand their knowledge.
The reward can be used for a certificated course with a recognised training provider such as APHC, BPEC, City and Guilds and all UKAS approved ACS providers.

The launch of the new academy marks HomeServe’s ongoing commitment to career development and investment in multi-skilling its growing network of directly employed engineers – which now totals almost 1,000 across the UK.
